Book Character Pumpkin Contest

October 5, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - October 19, 2020 @ 3:00 pm

Storybook Pumpkin Contest

The Rose Free Library is hosting its 1st Annual Book Character Pumpkin Contest. Any individual or family is welcome to participate. Pumpkins will be displayed throughout the inside the library for viewing.

The rules are simple:

Pumpkins should represent a favorite book character. Think of your all-time favorite book and the character you love! Start with a pumpkin of any shape. Size should be easy to carry in/out of the library.

To decorate you can use paper, glue, markers, fabric, or any other craft items glued onto your pumpkin. You may paint the pumpkin as well. Spray paint or permanent paint works best!

Absolutely NO carved pumpkins, and NO holes! The pumpkins will rot easily.

Do not put your name anywhere on the pumpkin. We have index cards for you to put the name of the character on and you will place your name and age or family on the back of the index card.

Try to think of unique characters! Let your creativity soar!

Only one pumpkin per individual or one created as a family. If you are participating as an individual, you may not participate as a family. Pumpkins may be brought in for display October 5th-19th. Judging will take place on Wednesday, October 21st. Prize given for each category of child, teen, adult, and family.
